Ed was surprised by the play of Charlie Batch after last week’s loss to the Cleveland Browns. Ed says that Batch showed flashes of Ben Roethlisberger, making most of his throws, and even throwing a block on the Jonathan Dwyer touchdown run. Ed says there is no word on Ike Taylor’s ankle injury, and we will have to wait until Tuesday to get an update from Coach Tomlin. Also, despite their injury issues, the offensive line stepped up and gave their quarterback comfortable pockets all night.
