PITTSBURGH (KDKA) — One man was killed and a woman was wounded in a shooting Friday night in an apartment in Pittsburgh's Spring Hill neighborhood on the North Side.
The shooting happened in the 2100-block of Rhine Street.
Lt. Michael Piasecki said three men knocked on the door of the apartment, demanded money, and then they barged inside and started shooting.
Piasecki said the woman was shot in the head and arm. She was hospitalized in critical condition.
No description of the gunmen was released late Friday.
The names of the shooting victims were not released; however, one neighbor said the man who was killed was a long-time resident of an apartment in the Three Rivers Manor housing project.
Lt. Piasecki said police found drug paraphernalia inside the apartment when they went inside.
