Rayman Jungle Run got an update today, adding ten more levels within a brand-new world for the holidays. The app description mentions, “10 new levels, including a snowy jungle, waterfalls, interactive environments, and a new crazy Land of The Dead challenge.”
There is also an updated character pack available for $0.99 as an in-app purchase, as well. It includes new character Globox, and two new Rayman costumes to use in-game.
Rayman Jungle Run takes its brightly colored and whimsical platformer roots and applies them to an endless runner game for iOS devices. Released this last September, Rayman Jungle Run is a fantastic example of what thoughtful design can bring to iOS, with a delightful and engaging game that borrows art and musc from its console version, Rayman Origins, itself a well-reviewed game available on console and handheld devices. What it brings to iOS is a well-designed touch interface that plays to the platform strengths.
Rayman Jungle Run is available in the iTunes App Store now for $2.99. It’s a universal app, which means you can install and paly it on your iPhone and iPad in the native resolution for either device.
