ROSTRAVER TOWNSHIP (KDKA) — A second person has died following a two-vehicle crash along Interstate 70.
According to state police, 91-year-old Freda Rorke of West Newton passed away overnight at UPMC Presbyterian Hospital.
She suffered critical injuries in the Wednesday morning accident on the Route 51 on-ramp in Rostraver Township.
Police say Frank Armstrong of New Stanton was trying to merge onto I-70 when another vehicle veered off the road and struck his vehicle.
Armstrong was pronounced dead at the scene. Rorke was a passenger in his vehicle.
The other passenger in Armstrong's vehicle, 64-year-old Linda Armstrong, was treated for minor injuries at UPMC Presbyterian Hospital.
The driver of the other vehicle, identified by state police as 38-year-old Gary King, was also injured in the crash. A 2-year-old boy in King’s car also suffered minor injuries.
