NORTH SIDE (KDKA) – A police chase suspect was injured when he crashed into a stone wall on the North Side early Thursday morning.
According to police, the chase began in Reserve Township around 5:30 a.m.
An Access driver left their car running while they went to pick up a passenger and the alleged suspect jumped in and took off.
Reserve Township Police were notified and began to pursue the vehicle.
The chase went through several Pittsburgh streets, including a narrow Lowry Street. At the end of Lowry Street, the suspect crashed into a solid block wall.
He was taken to hospital with significant injuries to his face.
Several vehicles along Lowry Street were damaged as he drove by.
No other injuries have been reported and the suspect's name hasn't been released at this time.
