When the officer tried to pull the car over, it took off down Liberty Avenue.
A few blocks away, the car hit a garbage truck and flipped over near 34th Street. The driver of the car, described as a young, white female, was ejected from the car.
She was taken to UPMC Mercy and is in critical condition.
