New Castle (KDKA)- Police in New Castle are investigating an officer involved shooting.
It happened around midnight, in the Mahoningtown section of New Castle.
Police say a man was waving a gun at officers, that’s when shots were fired.
The man was taken to the hospital, no word on his condition.
It doesn’t appear any officers were injured in the confrontation.
The shooting is under investigation.
