PITTSBURGH (93-7 The Fan) — NHL.com senior writer Dan Rosen joined The Fan Morning Show Wednesday to offer an update on the NHL lockout, after the owners offered the players a 50-50 revenue split on Tuesday.
He explained that the two sides were simply waiting for each other to take a step forward and just get an offer out there and that the league finally stepped up and gave the players something to work with.
He said that, now that there’s a starting point, real negotiations can finally begin.
He was hesitant to give credence to reports that we could be a month away from the start of the season, explaining that it’s tough to put a finger on where things are at this point.
He also explained some of the specifics of the new offer.
