PITTSBURGH (93-7 The Fan) — Adam “The Bull,” co-host of the “Bull and Fox” show on sister station, 92-3 The Fan in Cleveland, joined the Morning Show Wednesday to chat about Jimmy Haslam officially taking over ownership of the Cleveland Browns and the new boss’ decision to let team president Mike Holmgren go.
Adam explained that Holmgren seemed to be “just taking his paycheck” by the end of his tenure, collecting $8 million per year despite doing little to improve the organization.
Adam said that his inside sources have indicated that new president Joe Banner has had a poor relationship with General Manager Tom Heckert, and a relatively healthy one with Head Coach Pat Shurmur.
He did feel Shurmur’s days might be numbered, though, as that relationship might not be enough to overcome Shurmur’s lackluster performance.
He felt the Browns have the pieces in place to compete in the future, adding that the right moves might put them in a position to be competitive next season.
