NORTH HUNTINGDON (KDKA) – One person was killed in an early Tuesday morning mobile home fire in Westmoreland County.
According to officials at the scene, the fire broke out around 4 a.m. on Maryland Lane in North Huntingdon Township.
The victim was in a wheelchair and was found five feet from the front door when firefighters were able to make entry into the home.
Neighbors heard an explosion and the fire chief believes that was a result of oxygen tanks being in the home.
Neighbors said the man's ex-wife and children live across the street.
The home was fully engulfed in flames when firefighters arrived and was destroyed in the fire.
The man's identity has not been released at this time.
