According to emergency dispatchers, the accident happened in the 900-block of Penn Avenue around 10:30 a.m. A woman was crossing Penn Avenue on her motorized scooter when she was hit by the car. The woman was taken to UPMC Presbyterian Hospital, but her injuries are not believed to be serious. No other details have been released at this time.
