A fatal accident near Osteen on Saturday afternoon resulted in the deaths of two men, a Florida Highway Patrol spokeswoman said.
Sgt. Kim Montes said three cars were involved in the crash near the intersection of State Road 415 and Ellis Road.
FHP reported units arrived on scene about 4 p.m., and the accident occurred sometime after 3 p.m.
The FHP said Mark Leyde, 59, of Mount Pleasant, S.C., was driving north on S.R. 415 when he crossed into the southbound lane, colliding with another vehicle driven by a 53-year-old Sanford man. Both drivers were killed.
The name of the driver of the second car has not been released as troopers are in the process of notifying next of kin, Montes said.
A third car also was involved in the accident, but that driver, Marie Moore, 52, of Deltona, was not injured, according to the FHP report.
