Apple Updates iPhoto '11 With Bug Fixes And Improved Reliability
Oct 2nd 2012, 01:51

Apple updated iPhoto ’11 today to version 9.4.1, which includes several bug fixes, including an issue with downloading or viewing photos synched from Facebook albums, a new feature in OS X Mountain Lion. The update can be found in the Mac App Store directly, or pulled up in the Software Update item in the Apple Menu.

The previous update to iPhoto 9.4 added support for shared photo streams in OS X Mountain Lion, comments for publishing to Facebook, new card and calendar themes, a new File menu command to open the current photo library in Aperture if installed, and performance improvements.

Apple says that the new 9.4.1 update has the following improvments:

  • Improves the reliability of syncing to iOS devices via iTunes
  • Fixes an issue that could cause iPhoto to quit unexpectedly when using the Export command
  • Addresses an issue that could cause iPhoto to quit unexpectedly when upgrading multiple books, cards, and calendars
  • Resolves an issue with downloading and viewing photos synced from Facebook albums

The update came in at a rather large 1.14 Gb for me, but that may be due to the fact that I haven’t updated since version 9.3. How big is your update? Let us know in the comments below.
