PITTSBURGH (KDKA) – Police have arrested three men allegedly involved in a burglary ring in Newell Borough.
Authorities say Matthew Von Kerik, a 21-year-old from Newell, Michael Sawyer, a 21-year-old from Jeannette and Mark Burnett, and 18-year-old from Brownsville, allegedly committed four burglaries over the past five months.
The three men took a firearm, knives, jewelry, a commemorative coin and electronics from three different homes, according to police.
It's estimated that the total value of stolen property is well into the thousands.
During the investigation, a fifth robbery also took place and more suspects have been reported.
Police say the men entered some houses via widow air-conditioning units.
Von Kerik, Sawyer and Burnett are all being held in Fayette County Prison on $10,000 bond each.
