SCOTT TOWNSHIP (KDKA) – Crews are working to repair a water main in Scott Township that broke early Monday morning.
According to officials, the break happened in the 1900-block of Greentree Road around 4 a.m.
Pennsylvania American Water crews said that about 100 customers without service at this time, but there are no reports of damage to homes or businesses at this time.
It is estimated that it will take about four to six hours to repair the line.
The cause of the break appears to be age as the line dates back to the 1950s and may have been at the end of its lifespan.
One outbound lane of Greentree Road is currently closed.
